Shimmyheat productions is a NYC based belly dance company established by Elektra. It's a company that produces, markets, directs and choreographs Middle Eastern bellydance. Elektra works in conjunction with other NYC bellydancers to establish large and small bellydance theatrical shows for public events and private parties. SHIMMY ON THE HUDSON
The Exclusive NYC Bellydance Cruise. The night time cruise sails around Manhattan island under the night sky aboard the Star of Palm beach cruise line on Pier 40 West Houston Street. The two hour cruise includes two floors of dancing by live DJ Derajja, food, drinks, hookah, tarot reading, henna artists and a live bellydance show produced by shimmyheat productions. House dancers are Elektra, Erika Veils and Sahazha.

NYC Roof-Top Bellydance:
A night of Belly dancing on a New York City roof-top! The only show like it in the city. This bellydancing event is a halfa where bellydancers of all levels from students to hobbyist to professionals come together to dance. The evening will have it all: food, drinks, a fantastic roof top view of the city, live music and live entertainment. The event was hosted by the Arabic language & cultural social club of meetup.com

A Fundraiser that grooves

Special event hosted by the Robert DiLibero Foundation
This event helped raise over $20,000 for the fight against cancer. The event featured a live DJ “The Transducer” who played non-stop music for 72 hours straight to bring awarness and raise money for a cure.
All donations / pledges were given to the following proceeds *The Robert DiLibero Foundation *The Vito Cusumano Fund *Voices of Brain Cancer *St. Jude Hospital Elektra & Sahjazha were part of the amazing show by performing as the featured bellydancers. The were proud to bring Middle Eastern dance to a charity that gives back. The event also featured an art exhibit, poetry, raffles, wine tasting and so much more.
